BOSTON AND WASHINGTON, D.C., March 28, 2014 \u2013\u00a0Affiliated Managers Group, Inc. (NYSE: AMG), a global asset management company, and EIG Global Energy Partners, LLC (“EIG”) announced today that AMG is acquiring an equity interest in EIG. EIG\u2019s management\u00a0team continues to hold a majority of the equity in the company, and consistent with AMG\u2019s\u00a0partnership approach, will retain operating autonomy of the business.\u00a0<\/p>\n

EIG also announced today that William C. Sonneborn has been appointed President of EIG\u00a0effective May 5, 2014.<\/p>\n

As part of the transaction, all of the senior professionals at EIG have agreed to long-term\u00a0commitments to remain with the firm. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and the\u00a0parties expect to complete the investment during the month of April.<\/p>\n
