Criteria for Infrastructure Investor’s 2021 “Energy Deal of the Year – Middle East & Africa” award: transactions that reached financial close between 13 Nov 2020 and 19 Nov 2021 were independently shortlisted by the publication’s editorial team using a mix of quantitative (e.g., deal size) and qualitative factors (e.g., innovation, strategic impact); final winners were chosen by a confidential, one-person-one-vote poll of industry participants.
5. Infrastructure Investor: EIG has in the past and may in the future pay a subscription fee to access Infrastructure Investor’s news and web content and publications. Criteria for Infrastructure Investor’s 2021 “Deal of the Year – Middle East & Africa” award: eligible transactions had to reach financial close between 13 November 2020 and 19 November 2021; the magazine’s editorial team independently compiled the shortlist, assessing both quantitative factors (e.g., deal value) and qualitative considerations (innovation, strategic impact); the winner was then selected by a confidential one-person-one-vote poll of Infrastructure Investor’s global readership. 8. Energy Council (formerly known as the Oil & Gas Council) is a membership platform that offers curated introductions and direct engagement between investors, financiers and asset owners in the energy sector. The Energy Council annually presents awards to different organizations and individuals in the energy industry. The recipients of the awards are chosen by a panel of approximately 50 judges made up of senior industry executives’ hand-chosen by the Energy Council.
